The hotel felt like a hidden oasis, exactly like the pictures on the website. My room, 121 on the ground floor, was clean and comfortable. However, being located in the inner courtyard meant I could hear every A/C from the other rooms.
I found this hotel to be like a charming bed and breakfast with lovely old-fashioned decor in the rooms and a great spacious mirrored area near the bathroom that suited our needs perfectly. Although the size of the rooms was a bit small, the heavy wood furniture added a cozy touch. The hotel's location was ideal for catching the streetcar, being close to the St Charles St trolley stop, and situated in a quiet residential area. The dining options were basic but good, with the only downside being the limited availability outside of a certain time. The service was pleasant, and any issues were promptly addressed, making for a comfortable stay.
The hotel had a great location, close to the trolley for easy access to the French Quarter. The rooms showed signs of age with a musty smell and old bedding, but the service was very helpful and friendly. The dining experience offered a good variety of food in a lovely outdoor setting.
